How do you say resort in Spanish? (Like, I stayed at a resort)

I looked it up in the translator, but that didn't really help.

Some say Centro Turístico! Or it could be a " hotel de playa."

In my country, a turicentro is more like a public place where there are lots of swimming pools, green areas, and people just stay for the day and the place is closed around 6pm. - juanmelgar, Apr 2, 2014

Lugar turístico is for an area like Torremolinos and complejo turístico is like a big hotel resort that you would have accommodation in.
