regrésamos
Alguien me puede explicar de donde vino la palabra "regrésamos." (Así se deletrea) Nunca la he usado. Normalmente uso regresemos. "Ellos quieren que regresemos." ¿Será de Mexico? La verdad es que no sé. Me ayuden por favor. Les agradezco anticipadamente por su respuesta.

regresamos is the present of regresar...and regresemos is the subjunctive. there is no accent unless you say queria que regresáramos
I agree with you. I had this debate with her so I decided to google and sure enough it is used in text as well- accent and all. (Not the past subjuntive: "regresáramos" but "regrésamos") Just research it a little. Because people do use it. It doesn't sound correct to me. It sends pins and needles down my spine. HAHA! Google the word and let me know. It strikes me wrong when she says it and she was born there and has been speaking it her whole life. I have been studying spanish for the longest time and this is the first time that I took the chance to investigate this. I know that someone knows because it is in text as well. Once again I still do not buy that it is correct however it may be specific to a certain region(s).
why did you put an accent mark?
maybe your talkin about regresásemos, or regresáremos
I just asked my mom about it and she said that it could be a mistake similar to like when they say "puedamos" for "podamos." that's a common mistake and its bad Spanish...its like how we say pusistes, hablastes/havlastes, distes. its the same. oye ya le dijistes que viniera a las 7? its more informal than ya le dijiste que viniera a las 7
your wife is wrong that doesn't exist. I understand you saw it on the web
