I need to say...
I want to say we went for gospel tent meetings.
Note: Please only help with the part I ask (in bold) for because this is for school and I only have one question about this.
So do I say Fuimos para el evangelio reuniones de tienda
Or
Fuimos para reuniones el evangelio de tienda
And
for tent, do I just need Tienda, or do I need la tienda de campaña ??
thanks!

Just checking a few resources, seems "carpa" would be a good start. Since it is a religious gathering- ( I remember these) I found this:
"Carpa de avivamiento" to express the revival tent. " Avivamiento" points to " revival" and "carpa" to a large tent.
Campaña wants to take me to a camping tent in this case.
Check this link which seems to be the best one.

Hello actorgirl,
I too am learning Spanish at school and I would like to help you. What you said, "We went for gospel tent meetings," I would probably change this to, "We went to gospel meetings in a tent." So, with this alteration, it should be as follows:
Fuimos a las reuniones del evangelio en una tienda de campaña
We went to gospel meetings in a tent
Since I am not in any way Spanish, my translation may be slightly inaccurate but this is how I would write it if I were in this situation. Another thing to note, if you know of the imperfect tense, you could use it in this situation to improve your grade further.
Íbamos a las reuniones del evangelio en una tienda de campaña
We used to go to gospel meetings in a tent
I hope I haven't confused you in any way and I hope this helps you!
¡Buena suerte!
Ok .. here is the native's translation ...fuimos a la reunión de un campamento cristiano
This is the translation done by my venezuelan friend ..
Hope it helps.
Hello Actor girl,
You said:
I want to say we went for gospel tent meetings so do I say Fuimos para el evangelio reuniones de tiendas Or Fuimos para reuniones el evangelio de tienda.
I would say/I think that: Fuimos a las reuniones evangélicas de tiendas /en una tienda
... would sound better but I am not fluent yet so there may well be better ways of expressing this so if you can wait until a native speaker or advanced speaker can confirm this I would encourage you to wait but if you are in a hurry look for some consensus that is in accordance with with good Spanish! ![]()
I hope this helps ![]()
Fuimos a asistir las reuniones de la tienda de campamento del evangelio
Or fuimos a las reuniones de la tienda de campamento del evangelio
But if you want to say that u used to go (like every year or every now and then or every few days or periodically etc.) Then replace fuimos with ibamos ..
Best of luck
