Do opposites attract ? I am curious if this is just another common saying or if there is some truth to it.I would like to hear your thoughts,experiences,or tales of others that apply .It can be an experience you've had.It can be an experience someone you know may have had.It can be something from history or recent news. Please post in English and Spanish. I ,of course ,will start us off.

I think it’s a good thing to be attracted to difference. But few people understand the true meaning of their differences and the price for this lack of insight can be steep.
Experts say having more of the right similarities is more helpful in a relationship. So, yes and no. As far as personalities go, having opposites in relationships often works because both partners in the relationship balance everything out. For example: if a there is a couple containing a woman who is high-strung and a guy who is easy-going, then having the opposing personalities would stabilize the relationship in difficult times. However, two people in a relationship won't be attracted to each other if they are complete opposites. As far as beliefs and values go, two people in a relationship often look for someone who has the same values and beliefs as them.
