help with a phrase in plural/perfect tense.
how would I say "last week I had done my homework but it was not good enough." ? also, would this phrase be in pluperfect tense (past perfect) because I used the word "had"?

An alternative:
La semana pasada cumplí con mi tarea/ mis deberes pero no fueron bien recibidos.
Well, I would say:
La otra noche hice mi tarea y no me salió bien. You can change this up a bit if you want especially the last part. This is just what comes to mind for me if you want to say what your saying.
I wouldn't use "había hecho" in this context. But yes, If you were to use this, it would be the pluperfect.

The translation to that would be "La semana pasada había hecho mi tarea pero no fue lo suficientemente buena". That would mean that you did your homework, but for some reason it was not good enough. If you use "had" it's more likely you are using pluperfect, but I think that the translation I wrote would be understood with no problem. Hope it helps you!
