Ir + a + Infinitive?

Ir + a + Infinitive?

Directions: Using ir + a + an infinitive, change the verbs to indicate that the following people are going to do the given activities to prepare for Raúl's birthday party.

Example: Eduardo y Graciela buscan un regalo. ? Eduardo y Graciela van a buscar un regalo.

I'm stuck on one

Ignacio y Pepe van con nosotros. -> Ignacio y Pepe __ con nosotros.

I put "van a" This one is confusing because it translate Ignacio y Pepe go with us. And theres no verb besides go. And im trying to make it a future tense, to go with us.. but it's not correct and I dont see another way to write it. I also tried "vamos a" but it is also wrong.

help?

How about trying " van a ir"; "ir" is the infinitive for "van".

Like "they are going to go with us".

On first thought it may seem odd to use the same verb repeated, but it works in both languages.

Ignacio y Pepe van con nosotros. -> Ignacio y Pepe __ con nosotros

It would be, Ignacio y Pepe van a ir con nosotros.

Actually the best way would be: Ignacio y Pepe vienen con nosotros--> van a venir con nosotros.

ir+a+infinitive= to be going to+verb
