How do i say like this? is it así? im want to say like this in the context of showing someone how to do something. like saying, "No, like this" like one demonstrating something. is it still así?

Mandy - it's interesting that you say you have forgotten your Spanish...were you raised in a bilingual household? If so, with a little study, you should come along very quickly in your Spanish skills.

In the learn tab on the toolbar is a selection "learn". If you go there, you will find a complete audio-visual course that will take you to a basic level of Spanish proficiency - for free!

Also, for basic translation questions, you can go to the translate tab and type in your English sentence and recieve three machine translations for it. That will usually work for simple translations. If not, you can use the forum for more advanced input.

Now specifically, "you have to do it like this" would be "Tienes que hacerlo así", or maybe "tienes que hacerlo como esto".

Haha i was raised in a bilingual household and i speak basic spanish but since english is my first language i dont use spanish that much. also it kept saying "this title is taken" so i just had to make one up.. and thank you very much, very helpfulj - LaMandy, Mar 15, 2014

I agree with Noetol´s first suggestion: "Tienes que hacerlo así" but the second variant doesn´t sound very natural.
