I'm stuck between hizo and fue ? can someone help me and explain to me the difference between the both?

Do you want to say something like "We couldn't go to the beach because the weather was bad"? I would use the imperfect tense because the bad weather was a lingering condition (as opposed to a specific event with a clear beginning and end).

I'd suggest a review of imperfect versus preterite (simple past). Now that's a project!

¡Buena suerte!
