Hey! This is the sentence where i am not sure to use 'ser' or 'estar' I thought it would be:

Este domingo voy a participar en un concierto. Va a estar en una iglesia histórica en el centro de la ciudad.

I thought because it was describing a place it would be 'estar' but someone has corrected me saying it was 'ser'

Any ideas? Thanks

You use estar for the location of people and things but for events like concerts you use ser.

Thank you! So i need to use va a ser? - hellojoco, Feb 27, 2014
If you were choosing between ser and estar, yes it would be ser. There are other options though, tener lugar or as Annie says celebrarse. - Kiwi-Girl, Feb 27, 2014

Se celebra is better for an event.

Este domingo se celebra el concierto en la iglésia histórica ( or whenever)
