There are many words in English with the prefix “sub”.

The idea is to find one and write a sentence using it and translate it into Spanish.

Example.

The food was absolutely sublime.

La comida era sublime. o la comida estaba sublime - take your pick ha ha

I agree Annie, this is one of those tricky ser vs estar moments but what I think it comes down to is that ser is for statement of fact, estar is better for subjective opinions such as how the food or movie was. - Kiwi-Girl, Feb 27, 2014
