A fried on mine is on holiday in Tenerife. Someone shouted 'hey dronco' to him in the hotel reception - he doesn't speak Spanish, so thinks that's what the person shouted...
What does dronco mean'

Possibly they have said to your friend: Hey Tronco
Is an expression. Hey Tronco/Hey Man,hi guy

dronco is not a spanish word. If he were drunken it would be "borracho" perhaps the spelling is incorrect.
