Examples:
1. Esperé más de 20 minutos, pero no pasó ni un solo autobús; finalmente tomé un taxi.
I waited for more than 20 minutes, but not a single buss passed by; I finally took a taxi.
2. Ayer pasamos el día jugando en la nieve que recién había caido.
Yesterday we spent the day playing in the snow that had just fallen.

I'm going to break a rule and post twice on "la palabra del dîa." While I was researching my previous post, I found this "dicho" that uses "pasar"… and had to share it with you. It's not a direct translation, so I'm posting two English translations.
