quick question on presente perfecto

Question

I have a spanish quiz tomorrow, and my teacher isn't very good at clarifying all these tenses, but what exactly is the difference between Present perfect indicative and just Present perfect? The quiz consists of 4 tenses, and those 2 are listed, so they must be two different things right? I understand the difference between Present perfect subjunctive and just subjunctive. [kind of]

Present perfect is a tense.

Indicative is a mood.

Subjunctive is also a mood.

So you can use the present perfect tense in the indicative (regular tense used to declare things) or subjunctive (non-declarative) mood.

The present perfect in the indicative mood - he, has, ha, hemos han (to declare things) The present perfect in the subjunctive mood - haya, hayas, haya, hayamos, hayan (to do anything other than declare*)

• well there is one other mood, the imperative! for commands etc but let's leave that for another day
