Words for my dear friend Margherite
Solo quería compartirles qué triste me siento por la partida de mi querida amiga Margherite.
Algunas personas me han dicho que éste es solo un sitio para aprender. Pues para mí es más que eso. Es también un lugar donde se siembran amistades, se riegan y cosechan sentimientos de amor y compasión hacia los otros.
Mi corazón se siente triste.
Solo quería que si por alguna casualidad Margherite lee esto, sintiera nuestro amor por ella. Por favor regresa, amiga. Apenas te has ido y ya se te extraña. Nos va a hacer falta tu sentido del humor y tu alegría por la vida.
Creo que voy a estar de luto un tiempo. :(

I missed the whole thing and don't know what it's about other than what's in this thread, but I know I'd miss Margherite's posts and comments if she left permanently. Please don't stay away, Margherite!
Oh wow, I can't believe this is true. It's like a bad dream.
When I saw the strange username with Margherite's avatar, I was a bit unnerved since I've seen deleted accounts use that naming scheme. I tried to reason that it was just a random user, but this thread has confirmed that my fears were indeed correct.
This is really very sad. I may not have agreed with Marg on some cases, but I really, really liked her way of thinking and expressing herself, and she had a way of making a whole thread much, much more lively and interesting. Now that she's gone, it hurts to think of never scrolling up and down in every thread looking to see whether there was an answer from her, or commenting on her WOTD posts :(
In a way, I feel responsible. It is likely to be my comment on that stupid post that lent further fuel to the fire that has taken dear Marg away from us. I really thought it would help to lighten the atmosphere, but I think I made it look a lot more like a flame war with the back and forths.
As such, I am going to punish myself with a self-imposed ban for a month (or maybe more). Sorry for being such a bad friend, Marg. Please come back if you are reading this.

I hope you will be able to get past this. As Susy and Ray have so eloquently stated this is more than a learning site, and you are a big part of what makes it so special. Try to forget the unpleasantness and just think of all the fun we can have learning Spanish together and hangin' out and being friends. Hope to see you soon!

We all from time to time get a little peeved at a"perceived peeve " no matter how
slight the sleight can be , it niggles at us and we seek redress . Margherite is a very
valuable and lovable member , none of us want to see her leave , so let us all stand
back and allow time and diplomacy to work .
I have myself had comments and photos closed down , whole posts given the old
heave ho ! I was banned twice , and spent so much time in the dummy corner
that I took up permanent residency there, but it is not nice and I am not trying to
make this sound trivial , I am sure to Margherite it is not trivial , but she is a very
intelligent woman and I am sure will accept my , and our apology and deep regret
at what happened , and also I love her to bits and cannot stand the thought of losing her.

I don't know if you've ever seen the movie Hachi, but it's really sad. Right now, I feel like Hachi did, coming every day to see if you've returned. But you never do. Margherite, I don't want this to be like that movie. I don't want you to just disappear. Please come back.

Margherite, you are way too valuable a person to just put yourself out to pasture. It's not just you who loses out, but all of us at SD.
