This week's quiz - Ser vs Estar for beginners
If you are just starting out with Spanish you might find this quiz helpful to learn more about the uses of 'ser' and 'estar', those two tricky Spanish verbs that both mean to be'.
If you'd like to learn a little more before you start you can find the lesson here and flashcards to practice here.
NB: The quiz is based around the lesson (given at the link above) so it covers a few extra things such as adjectives and pronouns) - this was designed for private students so would usually be password protected but I've posted it here first to let SD learners have a go too if they're keen.
If you take the quiz, don't forget to let us know how you got on.
Feel free to leave me any suggestions or to let me know if you spot any errors.

Thanks for the quiz! Even a Ser/Estar quiz for beginners is a good refresher for those two hooligans!
For beginners?!
I gave up at about 7 or 8, I got exhausted trying to think what the questions meant and which pronouns might share a conjugation...
Well I managed a whopping great 76.5 on the quiz, There was one question in there that
I thought was a bit sneaky. ![]()
A few nits:
Amigable has little to do directly with ser and estar. Of course, I found it educative, but it was still off-topic. Really should be included in an Adjectives quiz (an awesome idea, by the way! :D).
The 'which subject pronouns are required because they share a conjugation' question was also misleading. I thought this included all the tenses, in some of which yo may actually be confused (accusing finger at pretérito imperfecto). Both the answers, the one with yo and the one with él seemed right to me (I did pick the right one, but still).
Scored okay (90.48%) due to some silly mistakes (like missing the accent mark on el), but satisfied
Keep 'em coming!

I should have mentioned that this quiz was specifically designed around this lesson for my private students so it tests everything that I cover in the lesson including adjectives.
Normally the lesson, flashcards and quiz will be password protected but i just thought that I'd share it here in case anyone wanted a go first.
