Many adjectives of the praise suit you well, Marg, but seeing how I am on an adjective diet (I kid you not) and am a miser with words to begin with (okay, I am kidding a little now), I'll use only nouns and verbs and such (with very few adjectives) to construct what might end up being a rather bland piece of writing on you (but hey, it will be honest!).

You are a seashell. These forums are nothing but part of the reef of reefs, full of pebbles, sand, gravel and broken coral. You brighten up this little patch of the reef every morning, noon and night.

When the sunlight sparkles on your surface, it dazzles the eyes of onlookers. Many think of picking you up and adding you to their collection, but then soon grow wiser. Children sometimes tug at you, but you are held back with the force of a million arms.

When the sun tumbles over the horizon, he sometimes glances at you, smiles and then winks, before plummetting into the sea. You never forget to wink back.

When night falls, and the moonlight softens the waves, wayward seaspray finds shelter within your coils. In the depths of the night, sometimes, when the moon is full, you transform into a mermaid who seeks something beneath the waves that none of us know of. It doesn't matter, though. We find it interesting when you tell us all about it.

This little patch of the reef is bright because of you. You brighten it up every morning, noon and night.
