Immersion School
I am thinking of going to an immersion school in Costa Rica. Anybody have any experience about this? Is it expensive?

No es una respuesta, pero encontré este vídeo en youtube y ya que trata el mismo tema lo pongo aquí, muy interesante
I think probably most Spanish-learning schools in Latin America offer "immersion classes" and probably tailor them to the current speaking abilities of the students in the class. Most schools offer immersion, grammar courses, cultural enrichment, and possibly courses tailored to students who desire to learn Spanish for a certain business environment. Again, the level and difficulty of those courses would be tailored to the current skill levels of the students.
So the bottom line is how good is the school, how much does it cost, and what kind of reputation does it have? Finding reliable and trustworthy reviews of any type of product or business on the Internet is difficult. Some reviews are placed by competing businesses who only want to trash their competitors. Other negative reviews can be posted by just about anyone of any age for any good or totally illicit purpose. Other reviews might be right on the money. It's hard to tell the difference.
Getting a brochure from the school you are considering would provide you some good information. Also there is a Spanish-learning website that I have used for years that is excellent. It also serves to provide information about Spanish-learning schools in Latin America. This is a site that I trust, and have trusted for many years. You might want to browse that site and see if it is helpful in your quest to find a good school. The name of the site is "123 TeachMe".
Good luck with your endeavor!
