pump up the volume

Question

This is for those of you who speak Spanish better than I do. How would you convey the idea of increasing, raising, or lifting the volume? The volume of your voice, or the volume on the radio etc.

would you use

aumentar el volumen, subir el volumen ,o levantar el volumen

or something completely different?

I have such a hard time with words that have similar but subtly different meanings.

Interesting question. My penfriend recently sent me a song, and he asked me to 'sube el volumen' while I listen to it.

On the other hand, when I did some research, I found this Microsoft site which uses 'aumentar el volumen'.

I have seen 'ampliar el volumen' and 'subir el volumen' used to refer to 3d space (volume) in Duolingo articles.
