This week's quiz - The (dreaded) Spanish Subjunctive
Yes, the dreaded subjunctive. If youve been learning about the subjunctive then this quiz will allow you to see how well you have grasped this rather tricky aspect of Spanish grammar.

If you take the quiz, don't forget to let us know how you get on ![]()
Also if you spot any errors or have any suggestions please feel free to let me know.
PS If anyone has trouble when you log in to do the quiz, it seems that some computers automatically make the first letter of a username capital without the typer knowing - this will send back a 'syntax' error, so if you get this, you may need to manually turn the cap lock button off before you type your user name. I hope this fixes any problems that users have been having.

That's a fitting picture for the subject, but here's a refinement : ) Off to the slaughter I go : )

Thanks for the quiz!
Ok I took the test and got a miserable 50%, took another crack at it and still only got 68%. What this obviously means is that the Spanish language is in need of some revisions to suit my way of thinking. lol
Thanks Kiwi for a great effort! Seeing all that red jump on the screen when one hits enter is a good way to drive a point home

But, I'll be speaking like a native in no time.... or not ![]()

Thank you Kiwi.
I say it, not because I did well ( which I mention in passing, being very modest, as you know), but because it's really well thought out.
Well done Kiwi!
Great work to everyone who's participated so far, I hope you don't mind me sharing the scores here but I am seriously impressed, especially given the fact that the subjunctive is one of, if not 'the' hardest aspect ever of Spanish grammar.
Some of the names might not be recognizable, but I have a feeling that we may know some of them by another name.
Look at Tosh go!
Tosh 95.45%
qwerty 90.91
annierats 86.36
fb000910 81.82
forgetmenot1 81.82
noetol 73.91%
spanolite 68.18
mariposa 68.18
Just 68%... the average score is in the 90%s :( Boy is that discouraging.
Thanks again, KG, for the enlightening journey. I committed multiple stupid mistakes, such as missing the future cuando clue (I thought I had that in my bag!) and the por si acaso one (where si should have clued me on to the answer).
I am not sure, but there could be a mistake in this one?
Es muy importante para mí que ______ cortés con mi familia.
Correct answer is 'fueras'. Wouldn't 'estés' make more sense, or am I being confused?
Wow, everyone is doing so well! Any more brave souls out there?

This is not my strong suit. Got a 73.
Don't be shy! How bad can it be? Jeje
