Receta de pastel de cumpleaños (Informal commands): - Calenta el horno 180 grados centígrados - Esparce mantequilla en el molde - En un cuenco grande, mezcla la mantequilla y el azúcar con una cuchara, hasta de luz - En una jarra de medición, bate juntos los huevos y la leche - Añade los huevos batidos a la mixtura de mantequilla, revolviendo después de cada vez. Tamiza en la harina y el azúcar (mezclado previamente, si deseado/si se desea) y doblar juntos suavemente. - Pon en el molde y hornear por 20 a 30 minutos.
1) Does it make sense? 2) Are there any things that you would change? 3) 'si deseado/si se desea' - which is a better way of saying 'if desired'? 4) 'si se desea' - This is something that I still need to get my head around: I believe the 'se desea' means 'if one desires'...? Does this mean that the infinitve is 'desear', and the reflexive verb is 'desearse'? Or is this not the case?

It would be good to have your English version too but to get you started here are a couple of suggestions ...
You could say 'precalienta' el horno a 180*- preheat.
Recubre el molde con mantequilla ...
Or 'engrase' grease.
Hasta de luz? Not sure what you're trying to say here? Until the mixture lightens in colour maybe? Maybe hasta se vean pálidas?
Jarra mediadora or mediadora = measuring jug
Tamize la harina y el ....
Fold in is a tricky one but definitely not doblar, keep that one for folding the washing. How about ... Incorpora or envuelve suavemente? Perhaps a native speaker can help with that one.
