Ready for another quiz? How about an advanced gender quiz?
Well after being flat out moving countries and being cut off from the internet for a couple of weeks I'm finally back online and I thought I'd celebrate by creating a new quiz.
Now we all know that Spanish nouns have gender and this might seem like a bit of a beginner's topic but let me assure you there are some tricky examples in this quiz that will even challenge our intermediate and advanced learners. I challenge anyone to get 100%! jeje
If you participate please do let us know how you get on and if you spot any mistakes please do let me know as I'm not a machine and human error is unfortunately quite possible.
I hope you enjoy the challenge!

I just got this message on facebook from a native Spanish speaker who took the gender quiz and I thought it might be encouraging for those here who also took it ....
That quiz is for ppl who are learning Spanish, but my mother tongue is spanish, and I failed miserably the quiz, ok.. I guess that I need to master my own language after learning a new one
It's not always easy to find advanced Spanish quizzes online so I do try to make my quizzes challenging so if your score left room for improvement please don't feel bad, as you can see it wasn't easy even for native speakers.
And if you are one of the few who did the quiz, you are to be congratulated for being brave enough to try - I'm sure your efforts will have good results, as you can see you are special, with 168 views only a handful of people have taken the challenge so far, top work tigers!

¡Oh Díos mio fue un disastre!!!!!!!! and I thought I was so smart !
I would have enjoyed doing the quiz-- but signing up -well--i think not-- nice idea though!
I also had trouble but I finally got in by starting all over from the beginning. It took ages.
Accidentally I clicked that I have to be 'verified'. I'm not sure what you will do to me Kiwi, it sounds dangerous.
After that I made many mistakes, an excellent quiz!
'Un semental' is a stallion, by the way. El caballo is any old horse, although geldings are reffered to as ' castrados', and in Spain they prefer' los caballos enteros'. Same as the English use ' an entire', also used about stallions. That's but a technicality.
Excellent quiz, I scored well below average, if anybody wants to know.
Nice quiz! Thanks a lot for your help in getting it running, kiwi-girl
Much appreciated.
14) I picked 'el bailarina' and the message said 'yes, el bailarin is correct'.
I sucked badly, overall (barely above average with 16/22), but at least I learned a lot of handy stuff! I really wonder whether the grammatical rules for adding 'a' are very useful. Almost every time I thought there was a concrete rule, along came an exception.
I might sound like an idiot, but I can't make the site work. The quiz requires you to register and login, so I tried to register. Whatever I put into the username box, the site said that it was not valid.
After some intense thinking, I remembered the username and password of my former account. So I switched to the login page, filled in the form and pressed enter. Boom! I got an AJAX error. I pressed enter several times, and even clicked the submit button to no avail.
Sorry if this all sounds a bit off-topic, but I want to try out this quiz (I have been able to access most quizzes before) :(
Hola Kiwi!
The question about the hosts should be:
anfitrión
anfitriona
I tried getting in, but with no luck. I couldn't log into my account. I kept getting a syntax error message. I did get the last email you sent to me and tried according to your instructions. I know I wasn't using an invalid character, such as caps. like you mentioned. Any help is appreciated. Thanks for doing these Kiwi.
The link took forever and I gave up Kiwi xx
Any suckers for punishment out there?
It was great to see how well you all did on the first quiz but there is more, anyone keen to test their knowledge again and hopefully learn another thing or two about Spanish nouns? If so, then here you go .... Los Generos - Quiz No 2
