"Por ti seré"
How do you translate "Por ti seré"? Can I translate the sentence as "By you I will be" or near you I will be? Thanks for your kind help.

I am sorry Julian.
In La bamba song all that translate to:
I am not a sailor (but) for you, I will be.
It does not mean "I will exist for you/I will live for you".
Please check where you got that information.
By you I will be : )
I looked up ' La Bamba' and got this version:
IN this it means : Through you, (because of you), I will be your hero in the face of pain,
without you I was totally lost,
through you I will be the best I can possibly be.( you bring out the best in me)
I am not a sailor..........(but ) for you I will be.....
For you I will
As in the song "La Bamba" it means "I will exist for you/I will live for you".
Yo no soy marinero, por ti seré, Por ti seré, por ti seré. Bamba, bamba, bamba, bamba
For you, I will be...
Thanks to everyone for trying to help. But I should clarify my question. If "Por ti sere" comes from the song La Bamba, I think Chilano's translation is right. But if it is uses in different context can the sentence be translated as "By you I will be" ? That is what I would like to know.
