Game: The Hydra Effect

Game: The Hydra Effect

This game is a little bit different than some of my others. Here's how to play:

  1. Observe the entry before yours.

  2. There will be a certain number of Spanish words. To play this game, you have to enter twice the number of words that the previous entry had.

  3. All the words you give have to have some sort of relation to the any of the previous words (Same first letter, synonym, antonym, same word tense, etc.)

  4. Try to really put some thought into your words. Please have a good relationship between words, not just a really weak reason (same fourth letter, sound kind of alike etc.)

  5. Make sure to include what your reasons are. Don't leave us hanging!

Example:

Previous post = saltar
Your Post = siempre, magro

Reasons: Siempre has same first letter, Magro is also a verb

Before you ask, yes there could be harder and more specific reasons than the ones I've included. But if there are a lot of answers to this game, it will be difficult to find reasons for 38 different words!

I don't know how people will like this game, so please comment on whether you think this is a good game or not!

Gracias

why "magro" is related? - comunacho, Jan 13, 2014
magro is also a verb. Same parts of speech are acceptable. - 00ffada9, Jan 13, 2014

Previous word/La palabra previa: Cabeza

My words/Mis palabras: Cerebro, Mente

Reason/Razón: Todas las palabras tienen que ver con "la cabeza".

(La) salchicha polar dominó (la) negocio (del) ocio (de mi) perro (antes de) volar (de) pronto.

Polar salchicha dominar negocio ocio perro volar pronto

Polar - Oso deriv, a type of bear

Perro - Oso deriv, another animal

Salchicha - Software deriv, same first letter as software

pronto - Software deriv, how long it takes to do complex work with proper software

domina - Rey deriv, what a king does

ocio - Rey deriv, what a kind usually spends his time in

negocio - Singer deriv, Singer is a company in the machine industry

volar- Singer deriv, a singing bird is a singer, and it flies. Volar also means 'to disappear'.

My reaction after writing the above

Really, it should be one word added per person. Difficulty might be increased by having it so that one of the words will have to fulfill all the 'similarity' conditions or something. - Helado_eclectico, Jan 13, 2014
That is a great topic for a future game. This was really just an experiment to see how people would like these types of games. Thanks! - 00ffada9, Jan 13, 2014

Thanks everybody for playing this game! Here's a quick addition to the rules.

If you feel like you can't enter that many words, just enter 1 brand new rule that people can start building on.

Buena Suerta

"Buena suerte" was one of the first phrases I learned. Just helping. There's 'e' at the end. - Raja-jani, Jan 13, 2014
