I read earlier, "Unos nacen con estrella y otros nacen estrellados," a provincial phrase, signifying, "Some are born under a lucky star and some are born seeing stars." The question at hand is why does it mean one thing when 'estrella' is used as a noun and another when used as a past participle in this idiom?

I am not sure I really understand your question. Estrellar is a verb meaning 'to crash' or 'see stars', as you said. Estrella is a noun meaning star. the words are inherently different. - Helado_eclectico, Jan 12, 2014

Tener estrella = tener suerte (No se refiere a las estrellas "stars")
"Some are born with luck and some are born whit bad luck"
