When do you use estes in spanish??

can i say todavia estas conectado or todavia estes conectado? and why?

AFAIK:

todavia estás conectado - Still, you are connected todavia estes conectado - Still, be connected (sort of)/Still, were you connected.

I think it's a matter of whether the indicative or subjunctive is needed. As a general rule, the indicative is used in sentences with certainty, while the subjunctive expresses a probability.
