Fractions 1/2 and 1/4

Question

How would you say 1/2 and 1/4 as in measuring?

Measuring what? Inches? Feet? Cups?

Cups (like for recipes):

• 1/2 cup = media taza de pasas
• 1/4 cup = cuarta taza de pasas

Just a plain old generic 1/2, 1/4, etc. is:

1/4, un cuarto

1/2, un medio

3/4, tres cuartos
