Its hard to explain puns to kleptomaniacs because they always take things literally.

Wasn't sure how to convey the same meaning in Spanish! Suggestions are welcome. =]
Four friends, who were university students, went out partying on the weekend before the final exams. They had a smashing time, and naturally were tired out. They spent the whole Sunday after the party sleeping and couldn't return home till the following morning.
Not having studied, they decided that, instead of entering the final examination, they would wait till the exam ended and then talk to the professor. They explained to him that they had gone on a trip at the end of the week, planning to return and study, but had encountered a flat tire. They didn't have any tools, and got no help either. As a result, they hadn't arrived on time and missed the exams.
The professor thought for a while, and agreed to take the test the following day.
The four friends were very happy that their plan had worked. They studied all night and arrived the following morning, ready for the exam. The professor placed them in separate classrooms and gave them their exam papers. They saw the first question for 4 marks, which was very easy. "What a riot!", they all thought. "This is fabulous!"
Each of them solved the problem and turned over the paper. The second page had a single question for 6 marks. "Which tire was it that burst?"
"En Inglaterra cuanto más libras, menos libras"
"In UK, more days off at work means less pounds"
I know this joke in English hasn't got sense at all... But I hope you understand the word game ![]()

I think I made some mistakes with the Spanish. Any tips would be appreciated.
Profesor: ¿Cuántos corazones tenemos nosotros?
Alumno: Dos, señor profesor.
Profesor: ¿Dos?
Alumno: Si, el mío y el suyo.
Professor: "How many hearts do we have?"
Student: "Two, sir."
Professor: "Two?"
Student: "Yeah, mine and yours."
From guerra de chistes:
On his visit to New York, Manuel bought a television to bring back to his family. - "Are there no televisions in your country?" asked a man. - "Of course there are, but I like the TV programmes here much more."
Another way I found of getting apparently genuine Spanish jokes is by checking the images section. Few, if any English comics get translated, and some of the Spanish ones are awesome.
I once had a friend who was not very intelligent. He once decided to go swimming in alligator infested waters. Now I don't have a friend.
I heard this joke being told the other day. The person who said it was quite drunk...
¡Pintura roja!
What is red and smells like blue paint? Red paint!
Does anyone have any classic Spanish jokes? Here's an example of a classic American joke...
Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side!
To clarify, a genuine Spanish joke, not a joke translated into Spanish!
