Grammatical Error

I think that there is an error in this sentence, and I need to find it.

Me gustan las comidas italianas y español porque son deliciosas.

I think that deliciosas should be replaced with deliciosos. Is this correct, or is there a different error? I'm just trying to make sure.

Gracias

Me gustan las comidas italianas y españolas porque son deliciosas.

Deliciosas is correct because you are talking about the food, la comida is a feminine noun. Las comidas italianas y español is wrong, because again la comida is a feminine noun (so it should be española) and it is in plural (so it should be españolas)

If ever there were two words that fit well together it would have to be grammatical and error: )

The sentence has some ambiguity. You just might just have a double entendre going there.

Example: We stand behind every bed we sell. Do the salesmen patiently stand behind every bed they sell, or do they guarantee their product?

I am sure Spanish food is really delicious, however the sentence could also be referring to the Spanish language, which brings up my whole metaphor/simile dilemma : )

Anyway, comida and Italiana possibly should be singular as well. A tricky sentence to get correct, indeed.

Hopefully you receive some better answers than this one : )

No, because of the verb' gustan' it refers to the comidas, plural, therfore not to the language, : Me gustan las comidas españolas y me gusta el idioma español. - annierats, Jan 1, 2014
