Is this the correct form of "ser"

Question

I am having doubts that my brain is working properly today. Please let me know if I used the correct form of "ser" in this:

Por algún razón pensé que la junta sería aquí.

For some reason I thought the meeting would be here.

Sí. Es correcto usar "ser", aunque es probable que debieras usar la "reunión" en lugar de "junta", pero depende de la naturaleza de la reunión y del tipo de personas que se reúnen.

Yes, estar for location of everything except events. So for meetings etc 'ser' is the way to go.
