Alyssa, it could be regional, but I have never heard the word "rajar" for "cracked". I would have say: Se estrelló la pantalla de mi iPhone. - Saludos! - 00e46f15, Dec 14, 2013
Thank you, amiga! I will use your word instead. :) - AlyssaLTerry, Dec 14, 2013

Gandalla - Hay muchas personas que son gandallas cuando se trata de ir a comer a un restaurante estilo buffet.

There are a lot of people that take advantage (se aprovechan) when they go to eat at a buffet style restaurant.

Your English is correct! Very good. =] The picture made me laugh haha. - AlyssaLTerry, Dec 13, 2013
Thank you! I wasn't sure if there was a specific word for "gandalla" in English. In the dictionary said "bully", but that was not what I was trying to say. It is more of somebody that takes advantage of a situation, and has no care for others. - 00e46f15, Dec 13, 2013
I would say that the word "bum" would work well for "gandalla". A bum in English can also mean someone who takes advantage of a good situation or good people. - AlyssaLTerry, Dec 13, 2013
For example: "Henry is such a bum, he always comes over and freeloads off of my mother's generosity." - AlyssaLTerry, Dec 13, 2013
Oh! I always thought that a "bum" was a homeless person. Thank you! That is exactly what I was trying to say "freeloaders" or bums! Lol! - 00e46f15, Dec 14, 2013
Your English is perfect, amiga! - rac1, Dec 16, 2013

Hi Helio. I would say: Fido, tráeme mi sandalia. Buen perro - Tráigame (formal / usted). I wish I had a dog... - 00e46f15, Dec 16, 2013

pantalla => batalla (battle)

  • Están mostrando la película sobre la batalla en la pantalla grande.

  • They are showing a movie about the battle on the big screen.

caballa, mackerel

Roasted mackerel with lime is a good source of vitamin D & C. Caballa asada con limón es un buen fuente de las vitaminas D y C.
