Extremecido - Native Speakers input needed!
I cannot find this word in on-line dictionaries. I think it is a past participle of a verb extremecir and means to emotionally move someone. It occurred in the following sentence in a story in which the priest has been told of the death of a sick man he has recently visited. He asked the man's daughter -¿Falleció en Paz?- (see how that fits in with the word of the day!) and she tells him what happened the story continues:
El sacerdote profundamente extremecido, se secó las lágrimas de emoción y le respondió: -”Ojalá que todos nos pudiésemos ir de esa manera”-.
I have translated this as "The priest profoundly moved, dried his tears of emotion and answered: 'Would that all of us could go in that way!'"
Note the word was misspelled in the story I received and should be as chileno says: estremecer meaning to shake, shiver, shudder. So "profundamente estremecido" probably can be translated as "shudder inwardly".

Chileno is right. A common mistake in spelling and pronunciation is to mix up the X with the S. "To shake, shiver, shudder" is a good translation.
We also use this word in a positive way. Note the usage from "Cuando Calienta el Sol":
"Cuando calienta el sol aquí en la playa, siento tu cuerpo vibrar cerca de mi;
es tu palpitar, es tu cara, es tu pelo, son tus besos, me estremezco, oh, oh, oh!
cuando calienta el sol aquí en la playa, siento tu cuerpo vibrar cerca de mi,
