There are times in our lives when we feel we wish we could have had another job. Other times, even when we are not able to do that kind of job, we wish in our hearts that we could.
Hay ocasiones en nuestras vidas en las que sentimos que nos hubiera gustado dedicarnos a otra cosa, pero por cosas del destino o por nuestra incapacidad a hacerlo, no pudimos.
Este juego se trata de escribir una frase en español y otra en inglés describiendo el trabajo que te hubiera gustado hacer y el por qué.
This game is about writing a sentence in Spanish, and another in English describing the kind of job that you would have liked to do and why.

Aquí va mi ejemplo:
Me hubiera encantado ser una enfermera. Tengo un corazón compasivo y me parte el corazón ver a la gente sufrir. Me gusta ayudar a los enfermos y cuidarlos. Lo que me impide hacerlo es que si veo sangre o agujas, ¡me desmayo!
I would have loved to be a nurse. I have a compassionate heart and my heart breaks when I see people suffering. I like to help and care for people that are sick. What stopped me from being a nurse was that if I see blood or needles, I faint!

Cuando era joven yo quiería ser una cantante famosa, porque me encantaba música y porque el mundo habría tenido prestar atención a mí. Ahora que soy una adulta creo que tengo el trabajo perfecto. Trabajo en una escuela terapéutica para niños preescolares con discapacidades y necesidades especiales. El mundo cree que enseñamos a los niños y los preparamos para afrontar el mundo. En realidad los niños son los maestros verdaderos. Los niños me enseñan humilidad, perserverancia, amor, y como afrontar el mundo con dignidad. Ya no es importante para el mundo a prestar atención a mí. Ellos son las estrellas de este espectáculo.
When I was young I wanted to be a famous singer because I loved music and because the world would have to pay attention to me. Now that I am an adult I believe that I have the perfect job. I work in a therapeutic school for preschoolers with disabilities and special needs. The world believes we teach the children and prepare them to face the world. In reality the children are the true teachers. The children teach me humility, perseverance, love and how to face the world with dignity. It is no longer important for the world to pay attention to me. They are the stars of this show.
Me hubiera gustado ser un veterinaria, pero en ese tiempo no había un escuela de veterinaria en la universidad de mi ciudad. Cuando fui a la universidad estudié zoología, también porque a mí me gustaba animales. Fue muy interesante, y quería ser una zoóloga, pero otras cosas intervenido, y me convertí en un profesora de ciencia. Ahora soy jubilada y todavía me gusta animales, especialmente los aves.
I would have like to be a vet, but at that time there was no veterinary school at the university in my city. When I went to university I studied zoology, also because I liked animals. It was very interesting and I wanted to be a zoologist, but other things intervened and I became a science teacher. Now I am retired and I still like animals, especially birds.
Siempre he tenido una gran afición a los caballos y resulta que mi vida ha sido un poco caótica . Creo que hubiera sido mejor si me hubiera hecho una sabia profesora universitaria con vacaciones largas y una buena pensión con la que me habría jubilado muy jovencita para dedicarme a la cría de caballos. It depends. When I was 12 years old, I wanted to be a nun. At 18, I wanted to be an actress. But what I would still have liked to have dedicated myself to, is as a Greenpeace activist, traveling with the "Arctic Sunrise" in exotic places to protest against the mistreatment of the planet and the wildlife and be arrested by the wicked ones. What an agitation!
