"In Light of..."

"In Light of..."

Hey guys, I''m drawing a blank. I'm writing an essay, and want to say "In light of this...." but I can't remember if this is too idiomatic to translate literally. Can I really just say "En luz de eso..." or do I have to say something more like "Como resultado..." I mean, I know I can say the second, but I would prefer a more idiomatic phrase if possible. Thanks!

Well I put it into the translator and got the following for "In light of this..."

  • en vista de ello...
  • A la luz de esta...
  • en luz de esto...

I don't know if this helps.
