Wela or juela ?

So a latino said "hola juela" to me. thats what it sounded like, like he said wela or juela im not sure how its spelled i dont know what that means.

I agree with francot, I'm sure it was güera, especially if you are a blonde. That word is also used to refer to gringos (foreigners) in general. I've always associated this term witb Mexicans, not sure who else uses it.

I'll take a stab at this one.

It's probably "Hola, huela" - huela is the subjunctive of the verb 'oler' = to smell. Since the subjunctive shows wishes or desires, perhaps he was flirting with you.

Were you wearing nice perfume?

Were you getting back from the gym?

Type in Huela on your image search and you'll get the idea that oler can be good or bad.

I'm sure someone more fluent than myself will help you more.
