La Reina del Sur

Question

I have just started watching the series La Reina del Sur based on the novel about Teresa Mendoza. It is in Spanish and I have the Spanish subtitles on as there is a ton of slang being used. I have watched four episodes and have run across a bunch of new words.

I am watching it on Netflix. If you can find it you might want to watch it, if only for the vocabulary.

This telenovela is excellent! I highly recommend it. This is going to be a Christmas present to myself!

Yes, it is on Netflix. So far lots of Spanish/slang from the south of Spain I am looking up a lot of words. - gringojrf, Nov 28, 2013

Okay I am now 14 episodes into the series of 63 episodes. This is the best telenovela I have seen. Very professional, hollywood quality. Very unlike most Mexican telenovelas. And it is also very interesting.

So once again I recommend it to anyone who has Netflix and wants to get a lot of listening practice.
