Can you please help me to translate this : 'Aprendí a chutar apuntando contra las botellas que coloca mi padre.' As I believe that it has different meaning from what it actually translates to.

well, "chutar" is a modism from central america, it's not a spanic word as itself and it has different meanings.

when reading this sentence I can say that chutar means disparar (shoot)

so the translation that's correct for me is: I learnt to shoot by aiming the bottles my father sets up.

I learned to shoot by aiming against the bottles my father sets up.

or

I learned to shoot by aiming at the bottles my father sets up.
