Aquella vs. ese vs. eso

Question

What determines when "aquella" be used instead of ese/eso/esa?

Also, why are there two masculine forms of "that" (ese/eso)? What determines which form to be used in sentence structure?

Aquella is the feminine form of that over there, something far from the speaker and the listener.

Ese is masculine form of that, but eso is the neuter form.

The neuter form is used for ideas, or abstract things. the masculine and feminine are used for actual things.
