As you continue to learn Spanishdict.com's resources you will begin to use them in your answers. Asking "Goggle" is an okay idea, but doing a search on Spanishdict.com might be more helpful.

@Brewerts

Very simply the preterit tense is a past tense that describes an action that has been completed. There is a beginning and an end. The imperfect tense is used for past actions where the beginning and/or end of the action is unknown. This link will provide more in-depth information.

This link takes you to the search box page. Type in the words "preterit, imperfect" and this will lead you to many posts as this question has been asked before.

Considering that you ask these types of questions yourself (http://www.spanishdict.com/answers/255779/how-do-you-find#a759002) your answer to brewerts is very rude. - 0095ca4c, Nov 20, 2013
