Comparing equal things.

Question

I have a an activity for my Spanish class that has sentences about two girls that I have to re-write comparing them. The sentence here I made upbut similar to one of the activity ones, but is not from the activity.

Here is the sentence (please excuse the mistakes here): Raúl y Juan es muy guapo.

Here is my answer: Raúl tan muy guapo como Juan.

Please explain why it is wrong. I am really struggling with that activity for some reason.

Also, how do I know what name to use as being more of whatever the thing is? The first one?

Well the saying is 'tan ..... como' which means 'as ..... as'.

Tan guapo como = as handsome as

Tan feo como = as ugly as

Tan grande como = as big as

The rest is just like Engkish.

John is ...... =. Juan es ....

as handsome as. = tan guapo como

Peter. =. Pedro

Juan es tan guapo como Pedro.

John is as handsome as Peter.

Juan as tan feo como Pedro.

John is as ugly as Peter.

Juan es tan grande como Pedro.

John is as big as Pedro.

Etc

Well, good effort actor girl.

It's likely that Juán and Raúl are male, they are male names.

As there are two of them: Juán y Raúl son muy guapos.

Juán es tan guapo como Raúl.

Sure, you use, 'más ...... que'.

Juan es más fuerte que Pedro.

John is stronger (more strong) than Peter.

In this case, the order is about the same as in English.

You just need to focus on remembering

1) There Must be a verb a verb, which your initial try omitted entirely.

and

2) That verb must match the number of people in quantity.

Also, there´s that whole boys vs girls thing.
