Practice using skype
I have finally figured out that there are no chats on this website but users on here use skype. I would like to join one of the chats but I've only just begun and I'm not sure that I will be able to follow along. Plus I cannot contact people by pm because I need reputation points which I'm not sure how to get or give to others.

You get reputations mainly by your questions or answers getting voted on, and then when you have a certain number of reputations (15) you can vote on other people's questions and answers, which will give you one reputation, and then you can send personal messages to another user when you have 10 reputations. I hope that helps! So as soon as I post this, I will vote on your question, and you will have 10 reputations.
