Hello everyone,

The Picture of the Day. Game for practicing and having fun.

Remember to correct your posts as suggested. Posts that are not corrected cannot be "accepted".

Please give everyone a chance and only post one caption and no photos.

I will advise on the Spanish part, and I'm still looking for volunteers on the English part.

This is the previous: Picture of the day: Happy card.

I would say "lejos" for 'away'. Could be: "¡Hacia arriba y lejos!" or "¡Arriba, arriba y lejos!". Another alternative is "y alto" (high) if you mean 'away from the floor/ the Earth'. :) - RelaxingCup, Nov 9, 2013
I like it, even if the Spanishis different. - annierats, Nov 9, 2013
Makes me alsways want to go sailing amiga, gracias :-) - pmikan-pam, Nov 11, 2013

Did you hear that Lady Gaga will be the first person to sing in space? - 0095ca4c, Nov 8, 2013
Good place for her. There are a few other "singers" who should do the same. Why? No air, no sound. You have to love a vacuum. - gringojrf, Nov 8, 2013
It should be "querida" because he is holding the cord. Otherwise perfect and beautiful. - RelaxingCup, Nov 9, 2013

Mothers are, annoyingly, almost always right. - RelaxingCup, Nov 9, 2013
Correct mate , they have the happy knack of putting you in your place at a time that you do not want to be there. Thanks mate. - ray76, Nov 9, 2013

Perfect. Just one pernickety note: songs shouldn't be translated. :P - RelaxingCup, Nov 9, 2013

lift is for 'emotional uplift'? - RelaxingCup, Nov 9, 2013
Yes amigo - ian-hill, Nov 9, 2013
Yes, RC, I mean an "emotional uplift" or encouragement. Would "una subida de ánimo de vez....." work better? - bandit51jd, Nov 9, 2013
Thanks for helping, Ian! - bandit51jd, Nov 9, 2013
Ok, and yes. "Subir el ánimo" is the expression you are looking for.

Luckily, I'm wearing the brooch my grandma gave me, so we can pop the balloons when we're ready to come down to earth.

Lots of subjunctive here. Saludos! - RelaxingCup, Nov 9, 2013
Lots of subjunctive and I missed all of them. NVM. Next time. Thank you RC. :) - Naya_Dask, Nov 9, 2013
