Dictionary error "collar bone"

Question

La clavícula is collar bone. Hueso del cuello is a neck bone. Very different.

There is no mistake here. Both "clavícula" and "hueso del cuelo" are references to the same bone.

In English, there are also two names for the same bone. Clavicle is more technical than the common name collarbone.

Surely a "neck bone" refers to any bone in the neck and not a specific bone.

I don't know. The collar bone in English is the layman's term for clavicle (kind of like the difference between womb and uterus). I have no idea about Spanish.

Never heard "hueso del cuello" for "clavícula". I agree with the OP here. Check your sources Moe. That picture is from an English website and it's probably a terrible translation as usual.
