Is it an odd sentence?

I read an example sentence for how to use "menos + adj.+ que".
El clima de este a o ha sido menos húmedo que el del a o pasado.
But I was confused with what it meant. Is it a grammatically correct sentence?
Why do "a" and "o" come together twice?
How do you translate it?
If it is incorrect, how will you modify it to make it correct?

It should be: El climo de este año.... That explains the odd "a o" in the sentence. - Jubilado, Oct 20, 2013

It's lost the'' ñ'', that's all, el año pasado.
It says:
The climate/weather, this year, has been less damp/wet, than that of last year. ( last year's. )
