Driving. Could someone proofred this for me, please?
DRIVING
Id like to talk about some aspects of driving here in Spain. The first thing Id like to say is that I think Spanish roads are not particulary dangerous because there are roads in other countries of Europe which are more dangerous than the Spanish ones. However, its well-known that there are some road in some particular places of Spain that need to be reviewed.
As regards spanish drivers, I think they are generally good. Nevertheless there are some unconcious drivers who like to drink as they are going to drive a car. In my opinion there is the need to do a better control and harder punishments for this kind of drivers.
Another point to talk about is the driving license. Here in Spain we have the driving license by points that works removing some points if you have a bad behaviour with your car. If your points are given out then your driving license is taken away. I think this kind of driving license is effective since the number of accidents have decreased, but the information about traffic tell us that the number of accidents is still very high. So we need to do more things to avoid this great number of accidents.
Regarding drunk drivers, I personally think that government should draw up new laws on driving which classify drunk drivers as a criminal offence, with prison sentences for offenders. This is neccesary since this kind of people can injury or kill people while behind the wheel.
As regards public transport I agree with the fact that they are less used than other European cities because here we have less facilities to use the transport. Only we have more facilities if we are living in big cities, but in small towns the train timetables are so bad that people prefer to use the car. Besides, in these towns there arent underground or trams so its more difficult to use public transport.
In conclusion, I think that government should improve the laws on traffic to avoid the high number of accidents and provide more facilities so that people can use public transport frequently.

Corrections appreciated.
For para 3

Another important topic while on the subject of driving is our driving licence. Here in Spain our licence is affected by loss of points for bad driving behaviour. Once you have used up all your points you lose your licence. I think that this system is effective because it has contributed to a decrease in car accidents. Statistics do show however that the number of accidents is still high so further steps need to be taken to reduce this number.
Well done, you did a great job, I tried to leave things as close as possible to the original but here are a couple of suggestions for the first two paragraphs, I'll let someone else comment on the rest.

However, it is well-known that some areas of Spain have roads that could really do with some attention.
Or .... that could certainly be improved

Nevertheless, there are some irresponsible drivers who drink and drive. In my opinion stricter control and harsher punishments are needed for such people.
(Unconscious could refer to a person who has passed out or who is asleep.)
