Adelitas were women that followed their husbands into the Mexican Revolution because of many reasons. One of the many reasons were because they wanted to keep their family together. Las adelitas were made to hold stuff, cook etc. They weren't given horses. The only ones that had horses were the rich ones. By the end of the revolution they were running out of food so they were sent back home.
