Is there a difference in pronunciation between
casar and cazar ?

Yes. In Spain there is a difference unless the speaker uses ceceo or seseo.
In neutral Spanish:
- Letter S in Casar sounds like S in the name Sandy. Audio:Casar.
- Letter Z in Cazar sound like TH in the word Thin. Audio:Cazar
