I need to know the answers to #'s 1 and 3 on page 290-291. Thanks

Welcome to the forum. The way it works here is that you make an effort, preferably your best effort, and submit it and the great folks here will critique it for you. If you are using Aventuras, you probably also use VHL Central, the web based potion of that learning series. Go into VHL Web-Sam, select Practice, Chapter 11 and scroll down to the pages in question. Do the exercises and submit and VHL will correct them for you. You can then select all to the text of the exercises, and paste it into a post to have it reviewed. Frases on page 291 does not seem to be in Web-Sam but the phrases are not very long. Type them with you answers and submit them. Just to get you started the correct answer for the first one in Un trágico accidente is the preterite of haber because the accident was a single completed event.
