saber vs. concoer
how do you know when to use saber vs. conocer?

In a nutshell I tend to think of saber as knowing when it comes to facts or how to do something and conocer as knowing more along the lines of being familiar with.
¿Sabe nadar? Do you know how to swim?
¿Sabe a qué hora llega el bus? Do you know what time the bus comes?
¿Conoce Paris? Do you know / Are you familiar with Paris?
¿Conoce a Pablo? Do you know Paul? (not a fact or how to do something but being familiar with him)
Good question.
