Remembering: Days of the Week

Question

Is there a mnemonic device or something that could help me remember the days of the week in Spanish? If Spanish isn't your first language, how did you learn to associate each day with its Spanish name? Gracias por su tiempo!

Here's a mnemonic device: Try the following prayer:

Lord, make my journeys very special delights... all the days of the week.

If you don't pray, here's a romantic version:

Lucy makes my journeys very special delights... all days of the week.

If you are a woman, change Lucy to Lucifer.

If you don't like any of the above, make your own special sentence, and become an inventor.

We have similar ethimology in days in both languages:

• Lunes (Luna day) ----> Monday (Moon day), day of the moon
• Martes (Marte day)----> Tuesday (Tiw or Tyr day) Both are war Gods
• Miercoles (Mercurio day) -----> Wednesday (Wodanaz day) Wodanaz was Known in old English as Wodan, Odin, kowledge Gods
• Jueves (Jupiter day) -----> Thursday (Thor day). Both associated with lighting
• Viernes (Venus day) -----> Friday (Frigg day), Frigg, Freyja was equivalent to Venus in germanic mithology, love goddesses

Monday = lunes
Tuesday = martes
Wednesday = miércoles
Thursday = jueves
Friday = viernes
Saturday = sábado
Sunday = domingo

And, This is the right way to pronounce them

Monday = lune? (lööh-nay??)
Tuesday = marte? (mahr-tay??)
Wednesday = miércoles (méé-air-coh-lay??)
Thursday = juéves (whay-váyss)
Friday = viérnes (vee-air-nayss)
Saturday = sábadö (sah-bah-döh)
Sunday = domingö (döh-méén-göh)

I would say change your calendars and immerse yourself in it as best as you can. Get used to seeing it in spanish as the day you're in, look at the calendar, the day of the week, associate the day and what you do on that day with the spanish name. Perhaps make yourself a weekly schedule in spanish that you put on your fridge so you're constantly seeing it, and read it allowed.
