I thought the point of learning a new language was to try. At least that is what rac1 always tells newbies when they post. It's SD rules. You have to try first and then someone will help you. So, what have we here? A new member (quan_toflyh) tried to make flashcards and made some errors but he gets a badge to encourage him to keep learning. Does anyone try to help him to point out his mistakes? Nope. Someone is pi**ed because he received a badge. It's possible for him to edit/delete and correct the cards (as long as someone tells him they are incorrect) so what's the big deal about him making mistakes? Making mistakes is part of learning Spanish or English for that matter. There is no one here who never makes a mistake. Sorry for the rant, but I'm getting tired of reading that people's posts are simply nonsense.
Now, now.
All points are valid, the one I question is the motive of why the OP posted that in the first place. You have to be a five years older to post something like that, unless of course you are someone out to troll.
And then, the adults in the forum get on each others cases because of a troll?????
Epic! I think that's what the OP must be thinking to her/himself as she/he reads the sequel left by a question that has, apparently, nothing to do with learning a language.
The rest, as mine is just guessing, and I don't like to guess.
Can I have some tea with that hot water?
:^)
Edit: I forgot to add that the flashcard or whatever most likely was an attempt to show some activity, as if the person in question is very interested in lerning. That's all.
Welcome to the forum. Your question makes no sense. Please read the SD rules and guidelines before posting. Rules If you have a question about learning Spanish or English, we are here to help, but please follow the guidelines and be specific. Thanks.
This person quan_toflyh joined SD half an hour ago and it caught my attention the fact that he/she already has a badge for creating a flashcard (which is totally useless, by the way). And this fact has arisen an old doubt of mine. Is there any control upon the flashcards? It worries me because I've seen one or two that are simply nonsense.
Well, I've always been a fussy person and maybe this is not very important but I just wanted to point it out.
